Ilaria Bonacossa

Director of Museo Villa Croce (Genova)

 

Ilaria Bonacossa is a curator and art critic. After working for seven years at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Torino, she has been the artistic director of Museo Villa Croce in Genova since 2012. Ilaria is also founder of Art@Work, a collective that commissions and develops for-profit and nonprofit contemporary art projects. She has curated numerous solo and group exhibitions of international and Italian artists like Nick Devereaux, Ian Kiaer, Zhang Enli, Tony Conrad, Julieta Aranda, Massimo Grimaldi, Alberto Tadiello, Katrin Sigurdardottir and Thomas Grunfeld among others. In 2007 she was a member of the jury for the Golden Lions of the 52nd Venice Biennale and in 2013 co-curated the Pavilion of Iceland presenting Katrin Sigurdardottir.
