Kirstie Skinner

Director of Outset Scotland

 

Kirstie  Skinner is a researcher, writer, lecturer and consultant specialising in contemporary art, with extensive experience in facilitating audience and professional development in the visual art sector. As well as teaching at both Edinburgh College of Art and the University of Edinburgh, Kirstie has devised and delivered contemporary art education programmes for clients including the National Galleries of Scotland, Contemporary Art Society, and Glasgow International Festival; facilitated professional development trips for and served as a specialist advisor to the Scottish Arts Council; and undertaken research and documentation for the National Collecting Scheme for Scotland.  She is on the board of the Collective Gallery in Edinburgh, and has been collecting art for over 10 years. In 2013, Kirstie launched the philanthropic organization Outset Scotland.
