Nazli Gürlek

Curator and art critic

 

Nazli Gürlek is an independent curator and art critic. She is currently a guest curator at the Borusan Contemporary art collection, and also collaborates with a variety of local and international institutions. Her more recent curatorial projects include: Common Ground: Earth, Water, Air (Borusan Contemporary, Istanbul, 2014-15); Excuse My Dust (CCA Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw, 2014); and Trocadero (Nesrin Esirtgen Collection, Istanbul, 2014). She is the initiator of Sarkis and When Attitudes Become Form (SALT, Istanbul, 2013), and the editor of the Turkish artist Inci Eviner’s first extensive monograph. Nazli writes for Frieze, Flash Art International, and The Exhibitionist. She obtained her MA in Curating from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and BFA in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence.
