Artist Residency in International Studio & Residency Program (ISCP) in New York

ECADC offers a 2-month studio grant for an artist to work independently in ISCP’s studio building in Brooklyn, New York. The grant covers the flight, accommodation and a stipend for living costs.

ISCP is a leading nonprofit, residency-based contemporary art institution for emerging to mid-career artists and curators from around the world, including the United States. With more than 30 artists and curators in residence at all times, the program provides residents with the space, time, and support to develop new projects. With additional activities tailored for professional development and public engagement, ISCP serves as an important platform for producing, presenting and contextualizing contemporary art through a diverse range of international perspectives. ISCP’s public programs encourage dialogue and integrate residents into the cultural community of New York City. The residency includes 24-hour access to a private 18 sq meter furnished studio space, regular studio visits from Visiting Critics; Field Trips to museums, galleries and other cultural institutions; and participation in ISCP Talks. Residents at ISCP are also invited to take part in ISCP’s Exhibition Program and Participatory Projects.

Ideal candidates show significant dedication to their work and are at a moment in which access to studio space and an interaction with art community in NYC will be particularly transformative to their practice.

Applications will be assessed by an International Jury appointed by ECADC. Please note that following the residency, grantee is expected to write a brief report about their residency.
