On May 21st, 30 representatives of Estonian regional galleries gathered in Tallinn for a seminar on funding, programming, and installing works of contemporary art. A few days later on May 24th, gallerist Tanja Wagner from Berlin and artist Katja Novitskova from Amsterdam (via Tallinn) will share their insights and experiences on representing artists and being represented by a gallery.

TALLINN TUESDAYS

On May 21st, Tallinn Tuesdays returned for a third edition of gallery nights. Six Tallinn galleries participated with extended viewing hours and special events. This time we also successfully tested out a gallery tour on bikes. There were several programming highlights, among them an opening of “Solo Show II – All Power to the Factory Outlets” by London-based Merlin Carpenter at Temnikova & Kasela Gallery, and the installation “Brand New Paintings Caught in the Headlights of Parking Cars” by the Copenhagen-based Mikkel Carl at Vaal Gallery.
