Edith Karlson in Vilnius

Edith Karlson’s solo exhibition ‘Four Letter World’ will open at the (AV17) gallery in Vilnius. Karlson will exhibit new works, as well as pieces from the 2017 exhibition ‘Hudnoi’ at the Temnikova & Kasela Gallery. ‘Hate’, ‘love’, ‘work’, ‘fear’, ‘cash’, ‘spam’, ‘pain’, ‘perv’, ‘scam’, ‘game’, ‘meme’, poop’ – these are all words that describe the feelings and conditions of a person living in a four-letter world. The sculptural installations at the exhibition ‘Four Letter World’ reflect on the constant struggle with one’s own feelings in a chaotic and absurd world; animal figures and anthropomorphic forms embody different characters on a sad and simultaneously ironic journey.

Open: March 26th to April 27th, 2019

Address: (AV17) gallery, Totorių str. 5, Vilnius
