Hunter Braithwaite

In April 2012, Hunter Braithwaite became the founding editor of The Miami Rail, an editorially independent expansion of The Brooklyn Rail. After graduating from the College of William & Mary with degrees in Literature and Cultural Theory, he worked briefly at National Geographic Travel Books in Washington, D.C. In 2009, he moved to Shanghai, where he wrote about contemporary art for Time Out Shanghai, Asian Art News, The Wall Street Journal, Artforum.com, Artslant.com, Artinfo.com, and CNN.com. He relocated to Miami in 2011 and continued to work as a correspondent for the same publications, and others such as Art in America, Guernica, and Modern Painters.
